Had quite a dry spell as finals approached. I'm pretty much done with finals at this point, so it was time to make some actual music. Took an old sample a friend of mine threw together (an old funky drum beat, myself playing sax randomly, and himself and a friend of his playing bass), sped it up by 2x, and put a nice chord progression over it from the Wurly.
The rest is all done by me either on the MS-20, the DW-8000 or through some samples. MS-20 handles the solo, the high pitched bleeps and the bass (of course). DW-8000 handles that awesome 80s brass sound it's so good at. I've got a vinyl sample drum kit that comes in playing that 4-to-the-floor beat.
Oh, and JX-3P on the second solo. Neat little organ-y patch.
Gotta say, this took a while but damn is it pretty good sounding.
